Gary Tutty is a retired Superintendent of Schools and celebrated author with a rich and diverse professional background. A Distinguished Alumni honoree of the State University of New York at Oneonta, Gary earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in English Education. He began his career as an English teacher, later transitioning into the business sector, where he excelled in sales, training, and management for a major medical company. Eventually, Gary returned to education, holding leadership roles including dean of students, principal, and superintendent in various school districts.
An accomplished writer, Gary has authored three thought-provoking books: A Funny Thing Happened Walking Lost on the Camino de Santiago: Thoughts Along the Way of Saint James, a reflective account of his pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago; The Discovery of the Secret Gospel of the Rich and Powerful: The Gospel of St. Avarice, a satirical exploration of faith and power; and The Sins of Father Riley, a gripping mystery novel.
